Roman, script, and shapes.
Two fonts and special shapes, cut inside or outside the band. Here is what each one suits, and what to send so the engraving comes back exactly as written.
The fonts
Inside or outside the band

Roman
Upright serif capitals and lower case. The default.

Script
Joined italic. Reads best at four characters or more.
Special shapes
A heart, for example. Tell us what you want and we will say whether it cuts cleanly at the width you are working with.
Before you send it
Send the exact characters you want cut, including punctuation and case. We engrave what is written rather than interpreting it, which is the only way to be sure a date or a name comes back right.
Both specimens show the full character set, so you can check a date or a name reads the way you expect before it is cut.
