Converting weight between metals.

The same piece weighs differently in different metals. Multiply the weight you have by the factor for the metal you want, and you have the weight you will need.

How to use it

Multiply, do not add

Find the metal you are converting from down the left side of the chart, then read across to the metal you are converting to along the top. Multiply your weight by the figure where they meet.

Worked example

5g of platinum, in 9ct gold

5g multiplied by 0.53 equals 2.65 grams

Metal conversion factors. Find the metal you have down the left and the metal you want along the top, and multiply the weight by the figure where they meet.
